Having voted number 2 by SAKETIME in 2019, some says Hanaabi is the cheaper version of Juyondai 十四代 due to its fruity aroma. Once the bottle is opened, the smell of sweet tropical fruits will fill the air. Due to its small production, Hanaabi is often very limited in supply and hard to come by.
 
When opened, it has a gorgeous pine-like sweet ginjo aroma. As it slides down the throat, one can feel the fresh acidity with a gassy sensation and the very rich sweetness and umami of the rice expands greatly. As the sweetness recedes towards the end, the aftertaste is crisp and sharp with a savory acidity.
